Senior UI/UX Designer
GardaWorld Crisis24    April 2021 – July 2025  ·  Remote
Crisis24 (a GardaWorld company) is the world’s leading integrated risk management firm, trusted by 50%+ of Fortune 500 companies and operating across 116 countries — delivering real-time threat intelligence from 200,000+ sources to protect executives, travelers, and assets globally.
Co-led design of Crisis24 Horizon from the ground up over 4+ years — the company’s flagship risk intelligence and crisis management platform used by Fortune 500 security teams worldwide. Defined the full visual language, interaction patterns, and component architecture as one of two designers on the product.
Built and maintained a shared Ant Design component library of hundreds of custom modules serving as the authoritative design system across both enterprise platforms — enabling faster feature delivery for 6+ engineers and 9+ product managers while establishing a single source of truth for implementation.
Drove the UI/UX design track of the WorldAware platform migration — an ongoing initiative to modernize the legacy enterprise interface and bring it to design parity with the Horizon system, ensuring continuity for existing enterprise clients through the transition.
Developed user personas, company profiles, and org structures that were formally adopted by product, engineering, and business strategy teams — directly shaping roadmap priorities and cross-functional design decisions.
Designed responsive desktop and mobile experiences in Figma using Mapbox for geospatial UI; operated within a structured Agile/Scrum environment across distributed teams.

UI/UX Designer Consultant (Solo Lead, concurrent engagement)
Teachers’ Retirement System of Illinois    October 2019 – June 2022  ·  Remote
TRSIL is one of the largest public pension systems in the United States, serving 462,000+ members — including 165,500+ active teachers — across Illinois public schools.
Served as sole UI/UX designer on a full-scale Pension Administration System redesign that successfully launched to members and administrators — a mission-critical platform handling benefits, enrollment, financial operations, and member records for nearly half a million people.
Designed end-to-end workflows and high-fidelity mockups across the full scope of pension administration — member enrollment, benefit calculation, reporting, and administrative management — within a Vuetify/Material Design system in Figma.
Closed the loop between design and production by reviewing coded implementations directly against design specs, filing detailed bug reports, and iterating with engineering through QA — reducing rework cycles and ensuring the shipped product matched design intent.
Established the project style guide and component pattern library, conducted design requirements meetings and reviews, and maintained design continuity across a multi-year Agile/Scrum engagement.

Senior UI/UX Designer · Front-End Developer
Aquent Cloud · RoboHead    December 2012 – April 2021  ·  Remote – multiple engagements over several years
RoboHead is an enterprise project management platform for mid- to large-sized marketing and creative teams, supporting high-volume clients with 20,000+ projects annually and 10,000+ active users.
Served as sole UI/UX designer for nearly a decade — responsible for all new module design, platform-wide redesigns, and desktop and mobile UX across the full product lifecycle, from wireframes and interaction design through shipped features.
Coded front-end implementations of my own designs in HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript within an ExtJS MVC framework — ensuring production output matched original design specifications without relying on engineering interpretation.
Drove the platform’s visual and UX evolution over 8+ years: shipping new feature modules, leading a platform-wide visual redesign, and expanding the product into responsive mobile experiences.
Designed and developed the RoboHead and MajorTom corporate websites and all marketing creative, owning the full brand expression alongside the product work.

Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. | Austin, TX    July 2014 – November 2014
Charles Schwab is one of the largest financial services firms in the United States, managing $10+ trillion in client assets across brokerage, wealth management, and financial advisory services.
Embedded within the in-house Charles Schwab Design Agency as part of a geographically dispersed cross-functional team — producing digital and print creative across websites, microsites, landing pages, campaign collateral, and video content at enterprise scale.
Managed multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines, interfacing directly with internal clients, project managers, and developers to maintain quality and delivery across a high-volume production environment.

Delivered WCAG 2.0-compliant front-end implementations in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery — accessible, standards-compliant code built to meet a formal accessibility requirement, not as an afterthought.
Presented high-fidelity mockups and wireframes to stakeholders; conducted code review, debugging, and QA to close the gap between design intent and production output.

Senior UI/UX Designer/Developer
Curata | Cambridge, MA    May 2010 – September 2011
Curata is a content curation and marketing software company serving B2B marketers, helping organizations discover, organize, and publish curated content at scale.

Designed and developed UI/UX for healthcare web portals spanning clinical decision support, patient data, and analytics — collaborating directly with physician informaticists, product managers, and engineers to translate complex clinical requirements into functional, accessible interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, in a .NET environment.
Prototyped iPad/tablet UI/UX and built functional demos in jQuery at a time when tablet interfaces in healthcare were nascent — demonstrating early fluency in emerging platform paradigms ahead of widespread adoption.
Owned all corporate website, email campaign, and marketing collateral design in parallel with product work, operating as the complete creative resource across both product and brand.
